My Final Product
It has been a great journey, i've learnt that patience and attention for detail are the most important skills when creating a stop motion animation piece.
I am pleased with my final product and I hope everyone enjoys it :)

Song choices
I want the video to be fun and match the atmosphere so I've looked at various different disney songs and television theme songs which I could use as my backing track
1. Tangled - I've Got a Dream
I found that this song is too fast for my animation piece although it is the level of fun I want it would be too hectic and difficult to animate my piece accordingly
2. The Little Mermaid - Under The Sea
The songs pace was perfect however I found that the steel drums gave it too much of a caribbean feel and it wouldn't match the animation piece
3. The Princess Frog - Down in New Orleans
I don't feel like this song was appropriate because it sounded to jazzy and it would prove difficult when editing as I would have to cut to the beat
4. Laurel and Hardy theme song - dance of the cuckoos
The theme song for Laurel and Hardy

Incomplete however very sweet
My set isn't complete however It beginning to take shape and I'm very pleased so far and it's looking exactly how I pictured it. I forgot to mention and take pictures of my before an after but the pictures I've attached will show you the materials I've used to create the basic set, I used astro turf for my grass and my wallpaper is left over material I had laying around.
The little things & the yummy things!
I wanted my food to look yummy and realistic I've made little sandwiches using a make up sponge and plasticine. The donuts are plasticine dipped in yummy gold glitter which makes them look very magical. The cherry pie was created using a tea light as frame. I hope to create more things such as cupcakes to make this tea party a truly yummy one.
Planning
I've created a story board for my short film and I've also created a drawing on how I plan to make my cat look like. The title has been chosen for my short film I wasn't very creative when choosing the title however I found it perfect.. A Wonderlandish Tea Party!

Materials
To create the perfect tea party I've been collecting several different random things I could found around the household that I could use as alternative things such as contact lense containers which I could use as a vase for my table and also match sticks which I could use to create my cupcake stands.
My set will be made mainly out of cardboard and I'll be using material scrap material I had left over from previous creations for the wallpaper and also table cloth.

Cat practice
I played around with the plasticine to see if I could model my cat into basic cat poses and copy cat movements such as stretching and sleeping and just basic walking here's the outcome of the practice cat!

Cat movement
This is an example of the videos I have watched to get an idea on how cats walk and I'll be using this video specifically as my reference for the cheshire cat in my short film

The Cheshire Cat
The Cheshire cat is an iconic role in The Alice in Wonderland films and its able to appear and disappear thats why it will be great to use in my short film as it can be easily done in stop motion.
In the cartoon animated film adaptation of Alice in Wonderland the Cheshire Cat is a purple and lilac striped cat so it would be fun to also make my cat a fun colour.
My Treatment
Alice in Wonderland has allowed several generations of children to escape to a magical land where all is possible from talking cats and rabbits to magical potions. I found that this would work well in my short animated film as I will be making every day objects come to life.
I hope to make my Short film 15-20 seconds long. I will upload my short film on YouTube and my overall target audience will be children ages 4-9, stop motion animation isn't as popular as it once was as there is now animation such as CGI, as my animation piece will be created stop motion it can also appeal to an older audience who may enjoy it due to nostalgic reasons.
To appeal to the younger audience and create the ambience I would like to make my set as colorful and bright as possible. I want the viewers to look at the set and want to be a part of it.
My Short film would appeal mainly to females as Alice in Wonderland would most probably appeal more to young girls due to it's main female character however I am not setting out to aim it mainly at them.
There isn't a actual story line in my short film however it will feature a appearing and disappearing cat which is insipred by the Chesire Cat from the original Alice and Wonderland.
My blog is my overall journey of the creation of my Short film so I hope to include everything from the Brainstorming stages and research to the actual final outcome.
Set Ideas
These are ideas of props I'd like to include to create the over all atmosphere of my short animated film
Little things
I researched online how people created their home made dollhouses and I found different ideas on how to use everyday objects to create my mini tea party scene these are the images I will be using for inspiration
